Light In The Harbour

Passage Through Pilot Bay

Two rich and complex characters are going about their lives, a little more than a century apart. What do they have in common? Both are trying to get their bearings, both are seeking love, peace and a secure life, and both are living in the same area on the magnificent and beautiful Kootenay Lake in vastly different times.
19-year-old Patrick Wallace comes to the booming Canadian frontier settlement of Pilot Bay from Bonners Ferry, Idaho in 1895 to make his fortune. A woman he meets throws him into a web of mystery, and in his search for answers he is rewarded with much more than he bargained for.
Sally Jenkins is a woman on a self-destructive path. She comes to Pilot Bay in 2019 to recover from her addictions, and find her life’s true purpose.
When Sally finds Patrick’s journal tucked away in a dusty corner of her new home, she is drawn into Patrick’s world. His story is not only a means of escape from her troubles, but also a lasting connection to the past, and a beacon to help her to find her own way forward.
